Automatic Logout
The automatic logout settings allows you to set innactivity timeout which is the time for which a console session can remain idle in the UI before they are automatically logged out. This can be set for a value of minutes or hours and has a range of 15 minutes to 24 hours.
Endpoint Inactivity Timeout
This setting is the time for which an endpoint sensor can be seen to be innactive from in the platform before it is marked as such in the UI. This would generally mean that the sensor has no connectivity to the platform and cannot either contact and register or send any events.
This setting has a range of 1 hour to 1 month with 1 month (30 days) currently being the default.
Inactive Sensor Timeout
The Inactive sensor timeout represents the number of days that a sensor will remain showing as innactive in the UI (based on the endpoint innactivity timeout mentioned above) before it is automatically removed from the endpoint sensors list and reduce the count of sensors showing as connected to the platform.
This is a value in days with the default being 14 days the maximum value is 30 days.
:::tip Pro Tip
To calculate the lifetime of a sensor in the platform once disconnected you must add the two innactivity timeouts together, this represents the time from when a sensor being disconnected from the platform or uninstalled and then automatically being removed.
Time for removal of innactive device = Endpoint Inactivity Timeout + Inactive Sensor Timeout
This means that the current default would be 44 days. :::
