Content Identification Rules
Cyberhaven provides an extensive library of predefined Content Identification Rules that form the foundation of the content inspection system. Content idenfitication rules represent the atomic elements of matching included in policies. Rule can include one or more matching characteristic that are then made available to include in policies to provide comprehensive content indentification capabilities for data objects.
Overview
The Content matching rules page provides a unified interface for you to define content inspection rules.
On the Rules tab, you can:
- View all predefined and custom rules
- Create new custom rules
- Delete custom rules
Important Note Predefined rules cannot be deleted. These are managed by Cyberhaven and distributed to the platform on a regular basis. Predefined rules are built using engine specific information and the logic cannot be seen in the UI.
Important Note Custom rules that are currently referenced in a policy or dataset cannot be deleted. To remove the rule first remove the reference in all policies and then it will be able to be removed.
Predefined Rules Library
Cyberhaven includes a comprehensive library of predefined classification rules that detect sensitive data types commonly found in organizations worldwide.
When viewing the details of the predefined rules the information displayed shows the Confidence threshold required for a match to be triggered as well as the type of match included.
