Profiles are the mechanism to deploy configurations to endpoints in the environment and ensure they are working as expected.

Profiles support targeting of groups of devices and the management of configurations to allow a specific combination of targeted devices and configurations to allow specific targeting of configurations to allow testing of new configurations or very explicit configurations to support troubleshooting or special cases.
