Endpoint Sensors UI

The Endpoint Sensors page provides details about all the endpoint devices in your environment where a Cyberhaven Sensor is installed. This page enables you to check the status of all your devices and manage the Sensor version updates.

The Sensor Installers drop-down provides a list of all the Windows and macOS Sensor versions you can download and install on host machines.

The Group Settings drop-down lists all the endpoint device groups. Using this list, you can update the sensor version for a group of devices. Learn more about endpoint groups: Create an Endpoint Group.

Additionally, you can enable password protection for a group of endpoint devices. Learn more about password protection: Enable Uninstall Protection.

The status filters at the top of the page show you the endpoints devices that need attention, are healthy, or have been inactive.

Create an Endpoint Group

You can group sensors so that you have the controls to selectively upgrade the Endpoint Sensor to newer versions.

For example, you can create groups for each business unit and manage upgrades one group at a time. You can also set version update policies and enable uninstall protection for an endpoint group.

To create a group,

1. On the Endpoint Sensors page, select the endpoints you want to include in the group. You can search by hostname to choose the endpoints.

2. Click on Change Group.

3. Select the endpoint group to which you want to add the endpoints. You can also create a new endpoint group by clicking Add Group in the Group settings drop-down menu.

Enable Uninstall Protection

You can set up password protection for each endpoint or endpoint group to prevent end users from uninstalling the Endpoint Sensor on their devices. When password protection is enabled, the user is required to provide a password for the uninstallation to proceed. Password protection will also be enforced for local admin users.

To enable Uninstall Protection for a group,

1. Select the slider and then click on the eye icon. The Uninstall Protection dialog box is displayed with the option to generate a new uninstall password.

2. Click Generate New in the dialog box, to generate a new password. Then click Continue in the Confirmation dialog box.

The new password is activated in 5 minutes. Simultaneously, the old password expires.

The password is only displayed once, immediately after it is generated, and cannot be retrieved afterward.

Dynamically Add Devices to Deployment Groups

To simplify your upgrade process, you can assign Windows sensor installations to specific deployment groups. If you don't specify a group, devices are automatically added to the "Default" deployment group.

Click on Deployment Group Settings and then, click on Install Config > Windows to copy the command associated with a specific deployment group.
